Catholic Culture : Latest Headlines : Pope condemns Christmas-day violence, asks prayers for victims
Violence against Catholics and other Christians in Nigeria, Christmas 2010: this type of banditry and cruelty is exactly how the Arabs extended out of Arabia to take over Christianised lands in North Africa, Syria, Iraq and Turkey; it took them into Spain also where they abolished Christianity and colonised its people from 711 to 1492, and for a while it got them to the point of knocking at the gates of Vienna. Fortunately, they were defeated at Lepanto by a huge prayer campaign requested by the Pope, centred on the Rosary. http://www.catholicculture.org/news/headlines/index.cfm?storyid=8720
